We went to see the Lansing Lugnuts play my hometown team, the Quad-City River Bandits. The Bandits pounded the Lugnuts, something like 10-3. The Bandits pitcher kept throwing 97 mph fastballs, pitch after pitch.
Of course, I got to see about 5 minutes of actual baseball playing, what with all the wonderful, kid-friendly distractions at Oldsmobile Park (corporate sponsor naming rights from a car brand that's been dead for 10 year? really?). They had a playground, bounce house, wiffle ball game, etc, etc. We did really enjoy ourselves, and the weather was just perfect. Plus our seats were 5 rows from the field, and all of this for maybe $10 a head. We LOVE minor league baseball!
