Sophie the Spider at School

Last Friday, Sophie's pre-school class had their Halloween shin dig. Betsy attended to help and was able to snag some photos.

Sophie's costume choice changed quite a bit, pretty much centering on the princess side of things. But at the last minute she decided she wanted to be a spider, and we were more than happy to oblige, picturing future Halloween's with lots of non-spider choices. This was our year to have a cute little spider girl.

Anyway, they had a party in their class, and then went on a parade through the elementary school. Sophie's teachers dressed up as peanut butter and jelly.

So, three years ago, a little girl was walking up to our front door (at our townhouse) dressed as a spider. At the same time my cat Bela was walking around the corner from the kitchen and found himself face to whiskers with a the GIANT SPIDER GIRL and he jumped about a foot off the ground and hissed like mad before he ran down to the basement and stayed there until we locked the front door for the night. In short? I love little girls dressed as scary spiders!
