On the Friday morning before embarking to the memorial, we stopped at Portrait Innovations. We've had portraits taken at Sears, JCPenney and in our own living room. There's been good sessions and bad sessions, but in general, it's not the most pleasant thing to do. It's like Portrait Innovations decided to solve all the portrait studio problems:
* They have large, bright studios
* Their photographers have a clue about how to get kids to smile, and will even pull in other employees to help
* They take a ton of shots so that there will be plenty of good ones
* They have large DLP or LCD TVs to view the results on
* They print the photographs on-site right after you session, so you walk out after 10 minutes or so with your actual portraits.
* They give you a CD with ALL the pictures, not just the ones that you bought, and there's no BS restrictions like "we own the negatives so you can never use them without paying us"
* As an extra bonus, they did not kick us out or fine us after Sophie threw up all over (choked on some gummy candy) while we were picking shots.
I wish I could post all 100, but here's a few good ones.
